If you wish to make donations in kind, you can take a look at a short list, which we have prepared. It contains various types of food that can be easily stored and preserved, since we only have a limited storage capacity. You can also find materials on this list, which can be used to make objects, in which we can hide food and treats for the bears. This activates foraging behavior and keeps the animals busy.

You can send your donations either via parcel service or deliver it personally to our sanctuary (during the visitors season from March to November), daily between 10 am and 6 pm.

The BEAR SANCTUARY Arbesbach is a project of FOUR PAWS. FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. Our vision is a world where humans treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding.

Since 1988, FOUR PAWS’ sustainable campaigns and projects focus on wild animals – such as bears, big cats, orangutans and elephants –, companion animals including stray dogs and cats and farm animals kept in inappropriate conditions as well as in disaster and conflict zones.
