During a guided tour it is easy to observe, that the bears enjoy their “new lives” and do not get bored and frustrated in cages anymore. Mostly you will watch them foraging, playing in the water, being lazy after the meal and resting in the shade.

Fee:
Additional to the admission fee a guided tour costs EUR 27,00 (price per tour not per person).
Duration:
1 hour and 1½ hours

In case of heavy rain, thunderstorm, storm or other dangerous weather-situations for safety reasons the guided tour will not take place.

Accessibility

The BEAR SANCTUARY is laid out barrier-free. There are no sleepers along the visitor's path, and all the steps can be bypassed elsewhere.

The round around the visible areas encloses about 450 m. For guests with reduced mobility, there is the possibility to shorten this route. An elevated visitor's walk can be reached barrier-free via the exhibition. From here you have a beautiful view of the enclosure, as well as in the surrounding countryside.

Along the enclosure, the trail runs on natural ground. Here is a little bit steeper and possibly easier to cope with help. Please ask at the cash desk, we would like to accompany you at this point to help, or show you the most suitable route variant on site.

Both exhibition and multimedia room are easily accessible.

On the ground floor is also a disabled toilet available.

Dogs are welcome

You have to stay on a lead, but apart from that, we are also looking forward to seeing all the dog visitors at the BEAR SANCTUARY.

Just before the dear four-legged companion starts the tour, water is served for him in the special dog drinks. Here is the right thirst extinguisher for every type: for sled dogs, for fear bunnies, for rustic ones, for those who want to stay bad ...
